MISSION SENTRY 2.0 Boat Fenders
Specification-based look at fit, adjustment and practical limitations for modern low-profile boats.
Read the review →Turn estimated daily battery use into a first-pass solar-panel wattage for further system planning.
The calculator converts daily amp-hour use into watt-hours using the selected system voltage. It then divides that daily energy need by peak-sun hours and adjusts for the loss percentage you enter. The result is a starting panel-wattage estimate, not a complete system design.
Build the daily amp-hour input from the equipment you actually run, including duration. Seasonal sun conditions, shading from rigging and the changing angle of a moving boat can reduce production.
Panel size is only one part of a marine solar installation. Confirm battery chemistry, charge-controller type and capacity, cable sizing, overcurrent protection, isolation, mounting and ventilation. Follow the instructions for every component and use a qualified marine electrician when the system is beyond your training.
Use the battery runtime calculator to review loads and the marine battery guide hub for charging, testing and troubleshooting resources.
