PLUSINNO Dual-V Rod Holders 2-Pack Review

Review the PLUSINNO dual-V clamp-on rod holders, ASIN B0CTQ6WKDW, with rail-fit checks, strap use and disclosed clamp-size and rotation conflicts.

By BoatOwner HubPublished October 14, 2026Updated October 14, 2026

This PLUSINNO two-pack is aimed at anglers who want adjustable rod support without drilling a permanent mount. The dual-V clamp is the main feature, but a successful installation depends on rail shape, clearance and rigidity. Two inconsistencies in the supplied graphics also deserve attention before buying.

PLUSINNO Dual-V Clamp-On Rod Holders, 2-Pack

Best suited to: Anglers with a suitable rigid rail or accessible flat mounting edge who want removable, adjustable rod support.

Main limitation: Clamp dimensions alone do not establish fit or load capacity. Product text and artwork disagree about maximum opening and vertical adjustment.

Quick verdict

Consider the two-pack for a measured mounting location with enough jaw and knob clearance. Use the more conservative 3.94-inch maximum opening, and confirm the required vertical angle before purchase. Choose equipment with an explicit application rating if heavy trolling or a specified drag load is central to your plans.

Confirm the two-pack and clamp design

ASIN B0CTQ6WKDW selects Rod Holder-2 Pack on Amazon. The supplied first image shows two black holders with blue clamp pads, retention straps and threaded clamp screws. Single- and four-pack options are separate selections.

PLUSINNO’s related manufacturer page displays the name BRH02 even though its URL contains brh01. We identify this review by the exact Amazon ASIN and dual-V clamp design rather than treating the URL wording as proof of a model number. Do not import specifications from the RH20 or the separate track-compatible 2-in-1 product.

Use the conservative clamp opening

Both the Amazon description and PLUSINNO manufacturer page specify a clamping range of 0.59–3.94 inches, or 1.5–10 cm. The supplied size graphic instead prints 4.33 inches alongside 10 cm. Those measurements are not equivalent. We use 3.94 inches as the supported maximum and would not buy it for a 4.33-inch mounting surface without clarification.

Measure the actual contact area, including trim or protective coverings. Check space behind and below the rail for the moving jaw and screw. A rail within the stated range can still be unsuitable if nearby panels prevent proper engagement.

Rail shape and strength matter

The manufacturer describes support for round tubes, square tubes and flat surfaces using dual-V contact geometry and silicone pads. It specifies a die-cast aluminum-alloy main body and stainless-steel screws. These construction details do not establish the strength of the boat’s rail or panel.

Select a rigid location that can accept the intended load. Avoid assuming thin trim, a loose rail or a flexible edge is suitable merely because the clamp fits around it. Check that pads contact securely and keep grit away from painted or finished surfaces. Protective pads cannot guarantee a scratch-free installation.

The rotation graphic needs a caveat

Listing and manufacturer prose describe 360-degree adjustment horizontally and vertically. The supplied adjustment graphic labels horizontal movement 360 degrees but vertical movement 270 degrees. It also advertises 10-degree angle steps. These are inconsistent seller specifications, so we do not promise a full vertical revolution.

Check the working angle you actually need, including clearance for the reel, rod butt and nearby rail. Loosen and secure adjustments according to the supplied instructions. Repositioning a holder should not leave a joint partly engaged or a knob inaccessible.

Check the rod and retaining strap together

The listing includes a rod-retaining strap. Before fishing, check how your particular rod handle and reel sit in the cradle, whether the strap closes correctly and whether you can release the rod without an awkward reach. A rod resting in the holder is not automatically secured.

We found no verified rod-handle diameter limit, maximum drag load, fish-weight rating or trolling-speed rating for this exact variant. The strap is a retention feature, not evidence that every strike load is safe. Do not convert a product weight shown in artwork into a holding-capacity claim.

Plan two useful positions

A two-pack is useful only if both mounting points work. Allow room for landing a fish, moving around the boat and operating other equipment. Check that rods and reels will not obstruct controls, boarding points or walkways.

Test the arrangement with your actual rods while stationary in a controlled setting. Recheck the clamp and adjustment security before use, and follow the product and boat instructions for transport. We have not tested resistance to vibration, corrosion, sudden loading or prolonged use.

Before-you-buy checklist

Verify B0CTQ6WKDW and the two-pack; measure both mounting locations; use the 3.94-inch maximum pending clarification; check reel and rod-butt clearance; and confirm the required working angle. Browse related Rod Holders & Organization reviews for alternatives.

If your application requires a known load rating or permanent installation, ask for an exact-model specification or choose a product that documents those requirements. Adjustable and removable are useful features, but they are not substitutes for application-specific capacity evidence.

Frequently asked questions

Will it clamp to a 4.33-inch rail?

Do not rely on that number. The description and manufacturer specify a 3.94-inch maximum, while the graphic pairs 4.33 inches with an inconsistent 10 cm. Obtain clarification before buying for a wider surface.

Does it rotate through 360 degrees vertically?

The text says so, but the supplied illustration labels vertical movement 270 degrees. This review does not resolve that conflict or promise a full vertical revolution.

Is the two-pack rated for heavy trolling?

No verified drag-load or trolling-speed rating was found in the reviewed sources. Do not assume heavy-trolling suitability from the clamp or material description.

Sources and methodology

Checked the clean exact-ASIN Amazon listing and PLUSINNO manufacturer page on October 14, 2026. All four supplied image identifiers were found in the exact listing HTML and all four images visually inspected. Maximum-clamp and vertical-rotation discrepancies are disclosed rather than silently resolved. This is research-based analysis without hands-on fit, load, durability or corrosion testing.
